The masseria, built in the early 20th century, was originally an agricultural estate serving a historic noble family of the area. It was the beating heart of rural life, where farmers cultivated the land and cared for animals according to the rhythms of nature, in a world shaped by work, seasons and silence
A restoration that respects the soul of the place
In the 1990s, when the structure had fallen into a state of abandonment, we decided to bring it back to life. The restoration was complete, yet respectful: stone by stone, we recovered the original spaces while preserving the rural soul of the masseria. Every intervention followed a simple principle: to protect what history had built. The ancient vaulted ceilings, thick walls and architectural details typical of Salento have remained intact, enhanced with discretion and care. Today, Masseria Alcorico is a welcoming and authentic place, balanced between memory and modernity, where past and present coexist in harmony, and every detail reflects our story and our values.
Real sustainability, lived every day
We are now 80% energy independent thanks to a photovoltaic system with storage capacity. Within the masseria, we have installed an electric vehicle charging station, encouraging cleaner forms of mobility. Our beverages are served exclusively in glass or aluminium containers, completely avoiding single-use plastic. In addition, we practise rigorous waste separation and compost organic waste directly on-site, returning it to the soil as nourishment
